In May 2025, the project “Reconstruction of the existing Novorossiysk environmental complex for handling municipal solid waste (MSW) with increased capacity” was launched.
Modernization of the existing infrastructure will not only increase the service life of the landfill, but also introduce advanced technologies for waste processing and disposal, which in turn will reduce the negative impact on the environment. The introduction of new technologies, such as a reverse osmosis system for deep filtrate purification, will significantly reduce the volume of wastewater generated and minimize the risks of water pollution.The installation of additional equipment for sorting and processing MSW will allow the extraction of valuable secondary material resources (SMR) and their recycling, thereby reducing the need for waste disposal at the landfill. In addition, the organization of a full cycle of construction waste recycling will allow for the efficient recycling of this type of waste, preventing it from ending up at the landfill.
The reconstruction also includes the installation of a modern fencing and lighting system for the area, which will improve the safety of the facility and prevent unauthorized access. The creation of new MSW maps and storage ponds will provide the necessary volume for waste and filtrate placement, while sewage pumping stations and storm water treatment facilities will ensure efficient wastewater management.
In general, the reconstruction of the Novorossiysk ecological complex is an important project aimed at improving the environmental situation in the region and introducing modern technologies in the field of waste management.
