In the Myasnikovsky District, on the territory of the Nedvigovskoye Rural Settlement, 2.8 km from the western outskirts of the village of Vesyoly, the construction of a modern waste sorting complex has begun, which is intended to radically change the approach to the management of municipal solid waste in the region.
The project, called the Myasnikovsky Inter-Municipal Environmental Waste Processing Complex (Myasnikovsky MEOK), or, as it is also known, the Rostov Waste Sorting Complex, will be a key link in the waste management system. Its main objective is to process and separate all the waste generated at the Volgodonsk MEOK. This means that a significant portion of the waste that was previously sent to landfills will now have a second life.

Economic potential: Selected secondary raw materials – paper, cardboard, glass, plastic and metal – will be sent for sale to processing enterprises. This will not only reduce the demand for primary raw materials, but also create new jobs and stimulate the development of the processing industry in the region.
Investments: The volume of investments in such a large-scale project exceeds 5 billion rubles, which demonstrates the seriousness of intentions and the long-term development prospects of the industry.
